SHIPPING TIME
- Ready-to-Ship Earrings & Necklaces: 1 - 2 weeks dependent
- Ready-to-Ship Rings: 2-4 weeks with ring sizing
- Loose gemstones: 3-5 Weeks
- Custom made orders: 8-10 weeks after deposit is received
SHIPPING RATES
- Orders above $500 – free transit-insured shipping for U.S. and Canada, other countries please inquire.
- Orders below $500 – Optional $20 Canada Post, or $50 Express for U.S. and Canada,
- International countries $100 flat fee for FedEx transit-insured shipping.
INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING
TARIFFS
Please know we are keeping our eyes open on the current instability of the American/Canadian tariff situation. While we have no control over these charges, it appears the U.S. Government is currently applying a 35% tariff on imported products of Canadian origin. This percentage may change in the coming weeks, depending on the decisions of the U.S. Government overseeing trade regulations. We also kindly note that in cases of non-payment of these government-imposed fees, Stag & Finch will no longer be able to process future orders placed under said customer profile.
Will I be billed for customs fees?
When shipping internationally (outside of Canada), the shipping company will act as your broker. This speeds up the customs clearance process so your package can keep moving. The shipping company will also apply for the sales taxes and duties on your behalf which can take your government a while to respond. The money isn't going to us, or the shipping company, but to your state and federal government.
Is there taxes or duties on shipping from Canada to my country?
When your order ships, DHL acts as your customs broker and handles the import process on your behalf, including submitting a certificate of origin confirming the item is USMCA compliant and of Canadian origin. Unfortunately, fine jewelry still appears to be subject to tariffs, even under USMCA. We make every effort to include USMCA/CUSMA certificates of origin with our shipments, but this has not consistently prevented charges from being applied. Some customers have successfully disputed the fees on the basis of CUSMA compliance, but we cannot guarantee that tariffs will not be charged on your order. Any tariffs or duties collected are not going to us or the shipping company, but are charged by your state and federal government.
SHIPPING LOCATIONS
Do you ship worldwide?
Yes! S&F can ship worldwide, with tracking and transit insurance. However, some countries do have prohibitions in place for importing certain luxury goods like jewelry. If you are unsure if this might apply to you, it is best to check with your local customs or governing authorities.
Can I ship to an address that is different from my billing address?
Yes you can, and are free to do so! There is also the option to have your package held at a nearby depot for pickup. This can be a good covert move if you’re planning to keep your purchase a secret (such as an engagement ring) and would rather not have the package discovered or received by someone other than yourself.
SHIPMENT TRACKING
Does my order include a tracking number?
Yes! We include a tracking number with each order so you can see when your precious little package is arriving!
What if my jewelry gets lost in transit?
Our transit insurance that is automatically included with all shipping covers all merchandise shipped by us that has not yet been received or accepted by the purchaser.
In the rare and sad event that your jewelry is lost in transit, a brand new identical jewelry piece will be built to replace your piece at no additional cost.
SIGNATURE REQUIREMENTS
Can I ship to a P.O. Box Address?
For your protection, Stag and Finch requires that all deliveries must be made to a physical business or home address only - and we can not ship to P.O. Box addresses. We also require an adult to sign for the delivery of orders exceeding $500 in value so that your valuable merchandise cannot be left unattended and vulnerable to theft and/or accidental misplacement.
